Mind the Gap

Recently the reality of buying clothes for four kids in a place that actually has four seasons hit me hard (coats, hats, scarves, mittens, boots?! Again?) So I decided to get a job! I am the newest employee of Gap Kids/Baby Gap and I love it! The discount is absolutely incredible, the hours are flexible, the people are nice and the clothes are to die for. I just work a few nights a week after Ryan is home so I don't have to stick the kids in day care or anything. It is so nice to have an outlet to go to again. I had my own business in Arizona and worked up until we moved so I have missed having something to call my own. Unfortunately, no one seems to be hiring any personal trainers right now, but I'm more than happy to sell cute clothes to rich people (and then get my incredible discount on top of it!) Soooo, in honor of my new job--I will give out a limited number of 30% off friends and family discount coupons that are good at Old Navy, all of the Gap stores and Banana Republic this weekend only (starting on Thursday.) If I haven't already given you one and you want one, leave a comment with your e-mail address and I will send you one (or give you one if you live in the area.) I only have a limited number to give, so first come, first serve!

What a great idea! You'll get to have some time away from the kids and have great discounts too. Yay!

I wondered what job you were talking about in that email! How fun--time to just be Lindsay, not Mommy, plus you get paid for it and you get to look at darling clothes all day! They have a little red cape in there right now that I'm salivating over for Maren. :) I worked at Barnes & Noble before I had Maren and I really loved it--I definitely miss it at times and would love to go back sometime.

Oh, and it does my heart good to find someone else who knows about Mind the Gap. :)

That sounds fun! My friend works at JoAnn's a couple of nights a week and loves it too. I'd love a coupon, if you still have one. My boys are already outgrowing the pants I just bought them in September! They grow so fast. My email is krolph10@hotmail.com. Too bad you can't be my personal trainer. I have turned into a soft couch potato!

I'm excited you're going to NYC! We went in August for our 10th and loved it! We walked across the Brooklyn bridge and back, then walked over to Little Italy and picked out cute place with some cheap pasta. We went up the Empire State building (don't bother going up to the very top floor - it's not even as good as the 80-something floor and costs a lot extra). We went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and loved that too. You'll have a blast and you'll feel like you're really far away from home. Have fun!

So cool! What a perfect fit for you; I'm glad it works out with your schedules to do it that way. I wish I could do something like that, but Chris' schedule changes every month, making it virtually impossible for me to work without putting the kids in daycare at least part of the time. Anyway, thanks SO much for the coupon - I'm headed to Oldnavy.com to see if I can find some cute jammies for the kids to put in my "shopping cart" until Thursday! Have fun.

Sweet! jack always tells me I should get a holiday job there or at Old Navy. Our clothing costs have most def. jumped up since moving here, kinda stinks having seasons, but at the same time I love the beauty of the seasons. Ya win some ya lose some, right? Would love a coupon tiffanyjoy.mo@gmail.com
