This morning the kids and I went over to a nearby place called The Plains Center for some educational fun. When we got there, we loaded up and took a wagon ride out to the place where the animals were. The kids got to pet and feed some chickens, chicks and turkeys. (Chloe didn't much like the chickens--she was scared.) After that we got to feed the cows and calves. The cows were HUGE!!!! I have never seen anything like it--they were literally taller than me!!! We then walked around and looked at their exhibits--tipis, a pioneer sod house, a blacksmith shop and a one room school house. We also had fun observing the hundreds of prairie dogs and listening to their little barking noises. Sorry--no pictures of Lincoln as he was on my back the whole time!!
