Lincoln has been so excited to be a "soccer boy" for a long time now. This season he is finally old enough!!! He has been wearing his cleats, shin guards and socks around the house for days now and finally had his first practice on Thursday and his first game on Saturday. Twelve three year olds chasing a ball--fun times!!!
He did such a great job at his game! By the second half, six of the twelve players were refusing to play--throwing fits because they didn't get to kick the ball, wandering around picking dandelions or just generally being three. So Lincoln played almost the whole entire time. I don't know that he ever made contact with the ball, but he had fun!Until the end when a bee stung him on the hand. :( Poor little guy.
We went straight from Lincoln's game all the way across town to Isaac's game. We spent the day (literally 8 to 2) doing soccer! And will do so every Saturday from now until November!!
