So back while we were in South Dakota...

We spent the Fourth of July in the Black Hills of South Dakota and really loved every minute of it!  This post won't begin to do it justice...

The 4th started out a bit rainy, but we sucked it up and went to see Mount Rushmore anyway!
Chloe wasn't feeling the love.

We couldn't figure out why Lincoln was so opposed to getting his picture taken with this impersonator.  It turns out, he didn't realize who the impersonator was impersonating.

There are many cheesy tourist attractions around Mount Rushmore.  We embraced them all.  Including Bear World.

We had a fabulous campsite with many fun things to do there.  Half the time, the kids didn't want to leave!

And of course we did tons and tons of hiking!

We went to this very random park one of the days.  It was full of all these statues.  I think the kids made us take pictures of them with every single one.  I will spare you all of them...

The Presidential Wax Museum??  Oh yes we did.

We had a blast, enjoying the INCREDIBLE scenery, doing the tourist thing, discovering a lot of local color and doing a ton of antiquing.  It was a great, great trip!!
